Victoria ISD is calling on students, families, staff, and community partners to join the 30-Day Attendance Challenge beginning Monday, March 31. The goal? To keep the momentum going and continue improving student attendance across the district.
VISD’s first-semester attendance rate was an impressive 93%, a testament to the commitment of students and families. Now, as the second semester progresses, it’s crucial to stay on track and continue building strong attendance habits. Research shows that consistent attendance leads to higher achievement, stronger social connections, and better long-term outcomes for students.
Over the next 30 days, VISD campuses will implement engaging attendance initiatives, from friendly competitions to exciting incentives, all designed to encourage students to be present every day. Families can support the challenge by reinforcing the importance of attendance at home and partnering with their child’s school to overcome any obstacles.
At the end of the challenge, the VISD campus with the most improved attendance will be recognized. But the biggest win is ensuring students are in school, learning, and preparing for their future.
