FAILING A CLASS? THINGS YOU SHOULD DO:
According to district policy, to earn credit in a course, a student must receive an end of the year final grade of at least a 70. Failing a class for the year will require summer school to be taken.
Follow Steps Below If Your Grade Falls Below a 70:
Sign up for the online gradebook by accessing "Parent Gradebook" via VISD's home page under "Parent" tab Parent Gradebook
Request help from parents, teachers, and counselors
Attend tutoring / homework center
Don't allow for missing assignments/tests - Zeros drag your grade down tremendously
Improve Study Skills - pay attention, participate, ask questions, study for tests, attend class regularly
