Eight VISD art students advance to State in Texas Art Education Association's (TAEA's) Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE).
The 2022 State VASE event was hosted at San Marcos High School on Saturday, April 30. TAEA converted three gyms at San Marcos High School into exhibit halls for all 2000+ student artworks from districts across the state to be displayed.
"VISD students were able to attend various art workshops in the morning, and afterward, they were able to view the artworks in the exhibit halls," said fine arts teacher Jamie Sainz. "They were so excited when they found their artwork on display. We are so proud of them for all their accomplishments and cannot wait to see what they have planned for next year's VASE Competition."
