Victoria Independent School District is now accepting applications and beginning interviews for elementary, middle, and high school teacher positions for the 2026–27 school year. To encourage early commitments, the district is offering a $1,000 Early Sign-On Incentive for eligible full-time teacher hires who complete the hiring process by June 1, 2026.
The Early Sign-On Incentive is available to certified and alternative certification teachers hired for the 2026–27 school year. The incentive will be paid in two installments, with $500 issued in September 2026 and $500 issued in December 2026.
To qualify, all required hiring documentation must be fully completed and submitted to the Human Resources Department by June 1, 2026. The Early Sign-On Incentive is intended for new teacher hires joining Victoria ISD for the 2026–27 school year. The incentive is limited to teacher positions and does not apply to non-teaching roles. New hires in the 2026–27 BRIDGE Classroom Instructor program are also eligible.
By committing early, candidates gain greater certainty in their placement while campuses benefit from improved staffing stability and proactive planning for the upcoming school year.
“Hiring earlier allows teachers to feel confident about their placement and gives campuses time to prepare for the year ahead,” said Executive Director of Human Resources Tammy Nobles. “Early commitments help ensure students begin the school year with fully staffed classrooms and strong instructional continuity.”
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to take advantage of the Early Sign-On Incentive and secure a position for the 2026–27 school year.
